I've been going to the optometrist for decades and it wasn't all that funny, I mean, nobody wants to hide these beautiful eyes behind distracting glasses. One time I went to one of those budget eyeglass places, you know get two for the price of one. They gave me a pair of vintage glasses to test the lenses. I thought that it was a joke, but then they really did read my prescription from them! Needless to say, I didn't get my glasses from there.
